We opened the doors at 187 Bowery in 2010 with one rule: keep traditional tattooing alive. No watercolor, no fine-line script, no trends with a six-month half-life. Just bold outline, solid black shading, and the eight colors that built American tattooing.
Three artists work the floor full-time. Every piece — from a quarter-sized swallow to a full back panel — is hand-drawn, walked through with you in consult, and stenciled fresh the day of your session.

Our hourly rate starts at $100/hr and varies depending on size, placement, color, and the complexity of the design. Small flash pieces start at a $120 flat rate. We always quote you before any needle hits skin — no surprises at the register.
Both work. Walk-ins are welcome Tuesday through Saturday, first-come-first-served. Booked appointments always get priority — if your day is tight or you want a specific artist, schedule ahead.
Yes — a $50 deposit secures your appointment slot. It comes off the final cost of your tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred once if you reschedule with at least 48 hours notice.
You must be 18 or older to get tattooed at No Regerts. New York State law — no exceptions, even with parental consent. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID.
Your artist will walk you through aftercare in detail before you leave. Short version: keep it clean, keep it moisturized with the balm we send you home with, and keep it out of pools, hot tubs, and direct sun for at least two weeks.
Most likely yes. Wes specializes in cover-ups and will look at your existing piece in person before quoting. Some old tattoos need a session of laser lightening first — we have referral relationships with two reputable laser studios in the area.
